Dr. Günter Halmans

Günter Halmans works at the RDS Consulting GmbH, Düsseldorf, Germany as a senior consultant since 2008. He coordinates system and acceptance tests for a company in the financial sector. Additionally, he supports the members of the department by deriving test cases from requirements. Moreover, he coaches the members of the department during the specification of applications for supporting the loan admin process.

Günter Halmans has been a member of the Software Systems Engineering group at the University of Duisburg-Essen before he started working for the RDS Consulting GmbH. He received his PhD from the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany in 2007. His research area focused on requirements engineering, especially for software product lines. Günter Halmans was involved in education and research as well as in industry projects and trainings with respect to requirements engineering. Before joining the University of Duisburg-Essen, Günter Halmans worked for more than eight years as a product manager and requirements engineer in industry.
